Taverna

For those of you who like to eat in Dallas (or in general) as much as I do, Taverna will be one of your top picks. I decided I should eat at a restaurant a few times and try multiple menu items before blogging about it.  After a few great experiences, this past weekend was the icing on the cake, and I am officially sold on Taverna.

Taverna is an Italian restaurant located on Knox and nestled between trees and houses. The adorable house is small and intimate with a patio for outside dining.  If you live in Dallas, than you know the importance of an outside patio (especially during brunch hours).  The menu features multiple classic Italian dishes with my favorites being the Parmesan cheese and truffle oil risotto (Risotto al Parmigiano All' Olio Tartufato) and the seafood pasta (Fettucine Frutti Di Mare).  The pizza at Taverna is also outstanding, and I recommend the Pear and Gorgonzola pizza which is almost like eating the most delicious dinner and dessert at the same time :).  The Margherita pizza is great too if you prefer something more simple.

I have yet to mention the greatest thing about Taverna by far: brunch.  Taverna has a wide variety of options on the brunch menu that are all very affordable, and you can get $1 each mimosas or peach bellinis with your meal during brunch!  I recommend the Ham and Gruyere cheese omelet or the Taverna Frittata (it changes each day).  I promise you cannot go wrong with $1 mimosas no matter what you order for brunch.

And for those of you who live or travel to Austin or Ft. Worth, Taverna has locations in both of these cities as well!
